Lauren Fox, Partner

Lauren focuses her practice on financial services litigation and regulatory matters, as well as general commercial and employment litigation.

 

Over the past decade, Lauren has represented broker-dealers, investment advisory firms, asset managers, directors and officers in customer-initiated cases, and related injunction and arbitration proceedings.  Lauren has substantial experience confirming and defending arbitration awards in both state and federal court and has successfully defended multi-million awards, against allegations of arbitrator bias and misbehavior, before both the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Sixth Circuits.

 

Lauren also regularly assists clients in the responding to regulatory examinations, investigations, and enforcement proceedings.  She has represented broker-dealers, investment banks, investment management firms, and their management and employees in proceedings initiated by the SEC, FINRA, and state regulators.

Lauren also has significant employment experience, and has represented firms, directors, and officers in disputes involving discrimination, wrongful termination, recruiting and “raiding” matters, compensation and separation agreements, and Form U-5 issues.  Lauren has litigated hundreds of employment matters across the country.
 

A passionate advocate for increased access to education, Lauren also serves as a member of the Associate Board of Bottom Line NYC.
 

Lauren is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, and is also admitted to practice before the bar of the United States Supreme Court.
